When the Bryce Mennell team aren’t producing amazing design work, they’re heavily invested in the latest Netflix blockbuster.

Squid Game, Nobody Wants This, Kaos and Last Stop Larrimah have dominated our studio chat for weeks. My favourite genre, however, is ‘Nordic Noir’ (always in its native language with subtitles!). Nordic Noir is a genre of crime fiction usually written from a police point of view and set in Scandinavia or the Nordic countries.

Typified by a dimly lit aesthetic, and matched by a slow and melancholic pace, the genre grips viewers with multi-layered storylines. It often features a mix of bleak naturalism and disconsolate locations, with a focus on the sense of a place where bad things can happen.
